MOTI NANDI

Moti Nandi was born in 10 July 1931 in Kolkata, India. He was a sports journalist and worked as a sports editor in Anandabazar Patrika. In his novels, he is noted for his depiction of sporting events and many of his protagonists are sports-persons. His first short story was published in Desh weekly on 1957. Moti Nandi has created character Kolaboti which is popular among the younger audience.Shada Kham,Ubhoyoto Sampurno, Golap Bagan,Chaya, Jibonto, Kolaboti,Kolaboti Der Diet Chart, Kolaboti r Dekha Shona etc are his well known publication.He got Ananda Purashkar in 1974 and Sahitya Akademi Award in 1991 for his literary works.He was also an alumnus of the University of Calcutta. He died in 3 January 2010.
